Very disappointed

I just found out that not only are the kids not coming down for Thanksgiving, but not for Hanukkah either. This was supposed
to be our year to spend Thanksgiving together, and they would spend Xmas in Ohio. They won't be visiting until the middle
of January. I would have understood them not visiting because of the move, as long as it was on both sides. This has been
a rough year. We have not seen them since last Xmas, except for the few days we spent with them last month.

Sorry to sound so negative, but just needed a sounding board.

The Holidays

They sure seem to be creeping up on us. I already started some of my shopping. Not sure of how much Christmas/Hanukkah
celebrateing I'll be doing. It all depends on how my surgery goes. My kids won't be down this holiday season, so that takes
most ofthe joy out anyway. I stillhave family and intend to make Thanksgivinng and my usual Cristmas Day Dinner. This year
an old childhood friend will be visiting, so it should be fun to go down memory lane with her.
