VACATION TIME

It's that time of the year. Eric is on vacation until July 7th. We decided not to go away this year,but rather to do daily things
depending on the weather. So far it is working out well and we are enjoying our time together. My fear is that the week will
go by too fast. We have even enjoyed a few good home cooked meals together, which we even prepared together.

LOSS OF A DEAR FRIEND

Last weekend our family lost a very dear and close friend. Although she and her family were not blood relatives, the bond
could not have been closer. Her name was Debbie Oliver and she was only 52 years old and died suddenly from a brain
aneurysm. She left behind a mother, husband and 3 beautiful children. Her loss leaves us heartbroken and realizing how precious
life is.

Debbie. Eric and I will miss you and cherish all the memories we have.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY LOVE

January 11th is Eric's birthday. I wish you many many more years, so we can grow old together. We will be celebrating this
weekend, but the big one is in Feb. I got him tickets to see Frankie Valle and the Four Seasons at the Hard Rock. I know how
much he likes them.

MERRY CHRISTMAS

I hope everyone had a wonderful time with their families. This is definitely a time to spend with your
family and close friends.

Brandi and Matt arrived Sunday night. It has been a wonderful, wonderful visit. Unfortunately, it had to be
cut short a day to the passing of Matt's Grandfather. Our prayers go out to the Hefner Family.

Christmas day was wonderful. The entire family was here for terrific food (espeeecially since I made it) and
to exchange presents. We all did very well in the gift department. I even got a George Foreman Grill, which
I can't wait to use. Brandi and Matt gave us a wii and jackets from wgntv, where she is the lead producer.

Yesterday was Bran's 29th birthday. Where did the time go? We all went to this wonderful Brazillian
Restaurant. What a night.

Saturday we will see an old friend of mine from Brooklyn. She comes down Christmas and we get together for dinner and talking about the good ole days.

HAPPY 30th Anniversary to Us

Oct. 15th was our 30th wedding anniversary. We celebrated for 4 days straight. The last night was the best. eric came home
from work for a few hours and we had a wonderful dinner together. the hard part was letting him go back to work.

Bran and Matt flew in yesterday to help us celebrate. It was magical. They had a wedding bouquet made up just like the one
on the day we got married. There was champagne, a fantastic dinner, and even a mini wedding cake. They thought of
everything. they even stole our toasting glasses outof my china cabinet (right under my nose) It was the best surprise ever.
Oh I forgetn to say that it was at our favorite restaurant The Rain Dancer. do we have the greatest children ever?

Bran, Matt we love you very, very much.

ERIC'S BOOK !!!!

Well there is more exciting news concerning our author. Money Magazine called the other day and interviewed him on a
story they are doing on refrigeration. Can you imagine that!!!! We are sooo exccited. They will also probably be featuring
the book itself. Look for August or September's issues. I will keep you posted if I hear anything different.
This book is going to be BIG.

ERIC'S BOOK IS OUT!!!!

Eric's book came out today. I am one proud wife. I have been calling and e-mailing everyone I can to
let them know. The book is "Troubleshooting and Repairing Major Appliances, 2nd Edition"

We received a few copies and the book looks fantastic. The cover design Eric picked is incredible. The
book is over 700 pages. I am sure it will be a big seller, as far as text books go.

I am so proud, I could bust.

Congratulations to my hubby. I love you very much. We will be celebrating when Brandi comes down.

Happenings In South Florida

First let me say that Eric loves his new teaching job. The fact that he leaves 6 in the
morning and doesn't return till after 12 a.m. He teaches 2 classes a day. The morning class is frm 7-1, and the evening class from 5:30 - 11;30. He only works 4 days a
week. He could come home for several hours, but we live to far and the price of gas.
We are looking for something where he would be able to come home in the afternoon.
I seem to be the only one having a hard time adjusting, especially since I am left home
carless. That is another thing on our to do list.

On a happier note, his book is supposed to come out this June. I am so excited for him.
It is something to have 1 textbook published, but a second edition!!! I am so proud of
him as is the rest of our family and friends.

GUESS WHO'S COMING TO TOWN?

Bran and Matt will be down here Saurday. I can hardly wait. they will be visiting us and going to Disney.
They were thinking of also going to see Daytona Beach. They never drove right onto the beach. It is soo
cool. I have a friend who lived there and we took her convertible and drove on the beach. OMG, it was great. It won't be a long visit, but a quality one. I miss them so much, that I take whatever time I can get
with them.

Eric continues to love his teaching job. He doesn't seem to mind the long days. It is going to take me a
little time to get used to the hours. As long as he is happy at what he is doing.

MOVING ON

We finally made a decision. Even though our hearts want to be in Chicago, it just would
not make sense to go from this weather to the horrible winter the Midwest has been having.

It looks like we will look further south then we are in an Boca Raton. This weekend we
will be down there looking just at neighborhoods. Not ready to bother a realtor yet. We
have loose ends to tie up before we move on. I am heartsick at having to stay down here and Bran and Matt in Chicago.

I am not sure how fast our condo will take to sell, but we have a 1st floor apt., and most
in here are upstairs. It just depends what the buyer is looking for or needs.

More on our search after the weekend.

1 Day till Blue Man Group

I can't believe that tomorrow at this time we will be on our way to see Blue Man Group.
We have always wanted to see them, but they have not been to South Fla. that we know
of. We have great seats so we should not miss any of their stunts, just hope they miss us with the water or whatever else they use.

Will give a report on the show over the weekend.

To Matt and Bran, have a wonderful anniversary weekend. May you celebrate for many
years to come. We love you.

Home Ownership

I feel soo bad for Bran and Matt. They are living in there new home just about a month, and already have big problems.

They had big problems with frozen pipes that burst due to a stupid owner downstairs from them. It seems they shut their water
and heat and caused all hell to beak loose. The basement where all the storage rooms are got severly flooded, especially
Bran and Matt's storage area. Needless to say they are very upset because things got water logged and ruined, but thank heaven their apt. is safe and sound. I wish I was there for them. even though This severe weather is giving me second thoughts about
relocating to the windy city.

I am just thankful they are both ok. A little frazzled to say the least though.

They're Coming!!!!

I cannot wait till Friday night. Bran and Matt are arriving from Chicago. We have not yet ceelebrated the holidays or Bran's
birthday. I still have the tree up and all the decorations around the house out. It will be a short visit, but I am sure a wonderful
one. We will be meeting with Bran's aunt and cousins on Sunday, plus I think there might be a few surprises in store for them.
I certainly am counting the days till they arrive.
